Eskişehir Osmangazi University Computer Engineering Department was established in 1993 and and gave first graduates in academic year of 2001 - 2002. The department's curriculum and educational activities align with the standards of ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology), an international organization that accredits the programs of higher education institutions in the fields of applied science, engineering, technology and informatics.

The Computer Engineering Department, which has a young and dynamic staff, has a mission to train qualified computer engineers in strong cooperation with the industry. For this purpose, continuous improvement studies at international standards are carried out in a department.

The department is accredited by MUDEK. MUDEK accreditation certificate is also recognized by EURACE (EURopean ACcreditation of Engineering Programs) in Europe for engineering programs. A special diploma supplement is given to graduates, which makes them more easily accepted by colleges abroad.
